MED-TVC Technology
STC 2160 TPD MED unit uses Multi-Effect Distillation with Thermal Vapor Compression (MED-TVC), ensuring high water output and low energy consumption. This advanced system recycles thermal energy, maximizing efficiency while minimizing operational costs.

Engineered for Long-Term Performance

With corrosion-resistant materials, stainless steel evaporators, and titanium heat exchanger tubes, this desalination plant guarantees 30+ years of reliable operation with over 95% availability (more than 8,322 hours per year).

Efficiency & Sustainability

The low-energy design reduces steam and electricity consumption, achieving a Gain Output Ratio (GOR) of 7.4. The system’s heat recovery and vacuum technologies further enhance performance while reducing environmental impact.

Operates efficiently with seawater up to 57,000 μS/cm TDS and temperatures from 26°C to 33°C

Power & Steam Requirements

Uses 440V (3-phase, 50Hz) power supply and consumes 12.1 tons of steam per hour.

Water Flow Rates

Handles 340 tons/hour of seawater intake while producing 2160 tons/day of high-purity distillate.
Energy Efficiency
Consumes less than 1.2 kWh per cubic meter of water produced.
